NFL Week 6 Sky Sports Games Betting Tips and Predictions

Philadelphia Eagles @ Washington Redskins

A bye often comes at the right time for teams (Seattle), not for Eagles who were 3-0 heading into their bye week. The momentum was halted and they suffered their first defeat, against the Detroit Lions last week. The first half lost them the game as they won 13-3 in the second half and looked near the team that played the first three games. They are missing Lane Johnson so may struggle to protect Wentz but Wentz has shown an ability to take sacks while the Washington pass rush is hardly the scariest. Kirk Cousins has not lived up to last season throwing too many interceptions and misses open throws. These factors make me think defence will dominate here and I take the unders

Tip: Under 44.5 points @1.91

Atlanta Falcons @ Seattle Seahawks

Atlanta look like one of the five teams in the NBA. Week one loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers aside they have gone from strength to strength. Last week they bested the NFL champions the Denver Broncos. The Broncos shut out Julio Jones after his 300 yard performance against Carolina but could not stop Tevin Coleman. Seattle have long had one of the scariest defences in the NFL and a bye week means they are coming in fresh. I want to stay away from that offence v defence battle. Instead I will look towards Jimmy Graham. He has started three games this season for 255 yards and a touchdown. To number one tight ends, in five games Atlanta have given up 265 yards. This includes no yards against Denver and has been against a poor set of tight ends. Expect Graham to feast.

Tip: Julio Jones receiving yards over 76.5 @1.83

Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans

Basically, this game is bad. The Colts away from home, have losses to the Jaguars and Broncos. The Texans at home have beat the Bears, Chiefs and Titans. The Colts have looked bad in games they have won. The Chiefs have also looked bad in most games. At home though, they have to be favoured. The Colts cannot protect Andrew Luck. Despite the loss of J.J Watt, Houston can and will still get pressure. They also have a running back who can tear through the Colts. Miller should get a ton of yards however I prefer a handicap play. Houston usually start quick in games they win while Andrew Luck is known for second half comebacks. I like Houston to be winning comfortably at all times in the game.

Tip: Houston Texans -1.0 in the first quarter handicap @2.25

New York Jets @ Arizona Cardinals

The Jets have been a mess so far this season. The vaunted pass rush has struggled while they have been beaten deep - even Darrelle Revis. Ryan Fitzpatrick has double the interceptions that he does touchdowns. To make it worse he will be missing Eric Decker. Arizona have also struggled with some bad losses and Carson Palmer missing receivers deep. This does tempt me with the under (46.5) but David Johnson and the chance Palmer has a good day make me reticent. Instead I look at Brandon Marshall. He has split good games and bad games this season. Without Decker though you imagine Patrick Peterson can shut him down. Arizona is too good to let Marshall beat them and instead will force the others to.

Tip: Brandon Marshall receiving yards under 70.5 @1.83

One final tip:

Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints

Neither defence is particularly impressive while the offences have been the strong suits. New Orleans have only not conceded under 30 once, a weird game against the Giants. Even the Niners put up 27 on Panthers. I would edge to the Panthers as Saints cannot force turnovers but the safer play is the over.

Tip: Over 53.0 points @1.87
