NFL Week 8 Predictions and Tips
?Washington @ Cincinnati
An interesting tidbit I read the day was how often these London games go over. Then Giants v Rams did not. These two offences are much stronger. The Bengals have rediscovered their running game with Jeremy Hill having a great game last week. The Redskins have a really strong group of weapons. Matt Jones, Jordan Reed and DeSean Jackson are all capable of having huge games. I think this continues the general trend of London games being high scoring, low quality games.
Tip: Over 49.5 match points @1.87
New England @ Buffalo
A LeSean McCoy injury derailed Buffalo last week. Patriots won but issues with the pass rush were exposed. So the question is can Tyrod Taylor beat New England. I think the answer is no. The Pats sell themselves out to stop the run and Tyrod cannot beat them. New England also have the revenge factor as the Bills handed them their only loss.
Tip: New England Patriots -6.0 @1.91
Green Bay @ Atlanta
Coming off a brutal Panthers, Broncos and Seahawks stretch, everyone thought the Falcons were good. Then they lost to the Chargers who people think are bad. Green Bay have not managed to look good for a whole game yet and are missing a couple of defensive backs. So how do you stop Julio Jones? The answer? You probably do not. I expect the big receiver to go over on yards
Tip: Julio Jones over 107.5 receiving yards @1.83
Eagles @ Cowboys
Eagles have one of the better defensive lines in the league and a lot of their success has come from it. Carson Wentz has been brilliant for a rookie perhaps better than Dak Prescott considering the talent he is playing with. Prescott has been heavily helped by the running of Ezekiel Elliot and quick passes, especially to Beasley. You would imagine that the offensive line of the Cowboys can hold the Eagles in check and help them cover the handicap in the big division game
Tip: Dallas Cowboys -4.0 @1.7
Vikings @ Bears
Vikings seemed to struggled with strong defensive lines as their offensive line is one of the few weaknesses they have. Willie Young and Leonard Floyd are dangerous pass rushers and that will keep the Bears in touch. On the offensive side I just do not see how they move the ball against a strong Vikings defence. Expect a low total here
Tips: Under 40.5 match points @1.95
