The Knicks have a huge dilemma at Point Guard

We are nearing the end of free agency frenzy as most of the best and important players have signed contracts. This is the time where veteran players and players with injury history tend to get signed. The Knicks still don't even have a complete starting 5. PG is still a mystery.
Sure, they re-signed Ron Baker and drafted Frank Ntilikina, both who could play point. But we have seen Baker run the point and he ain't that great. He can be a back-up but not a starter. Ntilikina on the other hand is projected to be the starter at some point, thats why they drafted him but he needs lot's of work as he is very raw. I don't think he is ready to start right away and I expect the Knicks to ease him into the role.
So who else can the Knicks get?
One way is to sign a veteran PG. It's a little late to get a quality one as most of the better ones have been snatched up. Some of the options are Deron Williams, Ramon Sessions, Norris Cole and Ty Lawson. None of them are that appealing. I guess you could live with Williams or Sessions, Oh God the Knicks are going to be bad with those guys running the show.
The other solution is to make a trade. As part of a Melo trade they will make sure they acquire a guard. Some options could be Eric Gordon, Evan Turner, Eric Bledsoe or even Kyrie Irving. This route makes the most sense as they need a starter and their is not one on the open market. After not landing any of the big marquee guards like Jrue Holiday or Jeff Teague, the Knicks set their sights on the trade market. It does get thinner after Brandon Knight tore his ACL but with a Melo trade, they for sure can get some sort of starter.
Knick fans you have to pray that the Knicks are able to acquire a PG or things could get real ugly. As great as Porizingis is, he needs someone to get him the ball and they don't have that on the roster right now. This maybe the only team in the league that does not have a starting PG on the roster, which is the most important position in the NBA today. Only the Knicks can do that. We will just wait and see what we get in a Melo trade and hope one of the pieces can start at the point.
