Kawhi Leonard leads the Spurs to victory against the Sacramento Kings

Oh my Kawhi! The San Antonio Spurs’ Kawhi Leonard is still dominating on the hardwood. If you look back in time, there should be some moving images from Tuesday when Leonard showed the world why he is the new top general in town. He and his comrades played the Golden State Warriors and Leonard crushed them, both on the defensive end and on the offensive end. As a result, he set a new career high in points with 35.

And on Thursday night, he continued his dominant play, leading his team to another victory as the Spurs defeated the Sacramento Kings 102-94. “The Klaw” directed plays, scored points, and was a pest defensively. He tallied 30 points, 5 assists, and 5 steals. The Spurs’ other general, LaMarcus Aldridge, contributed to the boxscore with 16 points and 5 rebounds.

As for their opponents, DeMarcus Cousins was the top contributor for the Kings, as he scored 37 points and grabbed 16 rebounds.

The Spurs’ next battle will be on Saturday, as they host Anthony Davis (who is coming off of a “Beast Mode” game) and the New Orleans Pelicans. Do you think Leonard and his teammates can keep up the great play and get their third straight win? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
