The Polar Bears slipped past the Explorers on goals by Andy Dragota, Chase Weatherbee and Mike Stark in a Division I regional semifinal at Brecksville.
Goalie Hunter Cooper had three saves for the Polar Bears (13-4-3), who will play in the regional final at noon Saturday at Boliantz Stadium in Macedonia against the winner of Wednesday's match between Shaker Heights and Cleveland St. Ignatius.
Jack Sarkisian scored both goals on assists from Alex Vuksta for the Explorers, who got four saves from keeper Connor Gynn.
Lake Catholic 2, St. Vincent-St. Mary 0
Ivan Babic and Mateo Medancic each scored a goal as the Cougars blanked the Fighting Irish in a Division II regional semifinal at Art Wright Stadium in Wadsworth.
Lake Catholic will play Revere, a 3-0 winner over Lakeview on Wednesday at Solon in the other regional semifinal.
Junior Sean O'Brien had eight saves for the Irish, who finished 11-8-2.
