Jarry Recalled Up to Pittsburgh
With Matt Murray being sidelined week to week for a lower body injury, the Pittsburgh Penguins have decided to recall goaltender Tristan Jarry from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Other than the preseason, this will be the first time this season he will be either on the bench or starting in the NHL.
Jarry is only 21 years old. He has a 13-5-1 record with a 2.15 GAA and .921 save percentage and one shutout. Jarry is one of the top prospects in the Pittsburgh Penguins organization. He will serve the back up role to Marc-Andre Fleury until Matt Murray returns.
The Penguins will have one game on December 31st against the Montreal Canadians, before they have a bye week. They then don't return to the ice until January 8th, against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
