Nashville Shuts Down Chicago
Nashville needed to set the tone against a tough Chicago team. Pekka Rinne silenced the Blackhawks all night long with 29 saves, in a 1 to 0 Predators victory.
Viktor Arvidsson scored the only goal in the game in the first period for the Predators. Corey Crawford made 19 saves for the Blackhawks.
Chicago also lost game 1, 1 to 0 against the St. Louis Blue last season and Chicago eventually lost the series. The Blackhawks also lost game 1, to the Predators two years ago, and Chicago won the series.
Game 2 is on Saturday Night.
