Redskins Out Duel Eagles
Washington keeps climbing the ladder in the NFC East. They defeated rivals Philadelphia Eagles 27 to 20. Kirk Cousins was sensational again with 263 yards passing 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. He threw both of his touchdown passes in the first half to Jamison Crowder (16 yards) and Vernon Davis (13 yards).
Crowder finished with 3 catches for 52 yards receiving and 1 touchdown. Vernon Davis started at tight end for Jordan Reed. He finished with 2 catches for 50 yards receiving and 1 touchdown.
In the second quarter, the Eagles scored on a 86-yard kickoff return by Wendell Smallwood and a 64-yard interception by Malcolm Jenkins. The Redskins would add another touchdown in the second-quarter on a 1-yard rush by Matt Jones. Jones finished with 153 rushing yards and 1 touchdown.
Carson Wentz was held to 179 passing yards for the Eagles. They didn't score an offensive touchdown in the game. The Washington Redskins will travel to face the Detroit Lions (3-3) next Sunday.
