Week 14 NFL Predictions
The Miami Dolphins and New York Giants 6-game win streak was snapped last week. Derek Carr keeps making his case to be the MVP. Dallas faces the Giants this week and will the Cowboys lose a second game? The Ryan Fitzpatrick love affair is over with the Jets and Bryce Petty will be the starter for the rest of the season.
Can the Browns find a way to win a game? I went 13-2 last week with my picks. I am 123-67-2 on the year.
Oakland Raiders 31, Kansas City Chiefs 28: Oakland is looking to avenge the loss earlier in the year to Kansas City. Derek Carr will sling it. Kansas City will pick apart the Raiders secondary, but don't expect the Raiders to beat themselves in other categories.
Pittsburgh Steelers 38, Buffalo Bills 20: It seems like the Steelers are starting to find a groove, but the Bills might have other ideas to spoil it. Ben Roethlisberger is going to throw the ball deep. It will be a difficult task for Tyrod Taylor to match point for point with them.
San Diego Chargers 28, Carolina Panthers 21: Phillip Rivers looks shaky right now and so does Cam Newton. Both of them will struggle again on Sunday. The difference of the game will be the success of Melvin Gordon running the ball compared to Jonathan Stewart.
Cincinnati Bengals 34, Cleveland Browns 13: If the Bengals lose this game, Marvin Lewis shouldn't bother returning to the sidelines for the season. Tyler Boyd has been stepping up at receiver in the absence of A.J. Green. The Bengals defense should dominate for the second straight week.
Chicago Bears 16, Detroit Lions 24: Jordan Howard will single handedly keep the Bears in this game. At the end of the day, the Lions are on a roll and will continue streaking.
Houston Texans 21, Indianapolis Colts 14: The Texans defense will rough up Andrew Luck. The Texans need to find a way to get back to winning ways and that starts with running the ball with Lamar Miller and Alfred Blue. Brock Osweiler will play another solid game.
Minnesota Vikings 28, Jacksonville Jaguars 14: This might be the game that the Minnesota Vikings defense scores a couple of defensive touchdowns. The Jaguars have been a disappointment all year long.
Arizona Cardinals 35, Miami Dolphins 24: The Dolphins are going to get blitzed again this week against a tough Cardinals defense. Winning last week is going to build confidence for them. Carson Palmer will play well once again. Good luck stopping David Johnson.
Washington Redskins 31, Philadelphia Eagles 17: Both teams are heading in the wrong direction very rapidly. The Redskins offense should play well once again this week. Can the defense force turnovers on Carson Wentz and make key defensive stops. Philadelphia has yet to win a game in the division.
Denver Broncos 17, Tennessee Titans 24: It is unknown if Trevor Siemian will return for the Broncos this week. If he isn't starting and it's Paxton Lynch, the Titans will blitz him a lot. However, they have to be careful when guarding Thomas and Saunders because of their speed. The Broncos are a tough defense, but Marcus Mariota will continue to impress.
New York Jets 17, San Francisco 49ers 21: Both teams are a complete dumpster fire by now. Bryce Petty is the new starting quarterback for the Jets, and the 49ers will either start Gabbert or Kaepernick on Sunday. The Jets offense will make the 49ers defense look like a top 5 defense. Carlos Hyde will carry the 49ers to victory.
Seattle Seahawks 31, Green Bay Packers 24: Russell Wilson and Thomas Rawls will cause headaches for the Packers defense. Aaron Rodgers is going to keep them in the game, but the Seahawks are going to make a key defensive stop to win.
Atlanta Falcons 35, Los Angeles Rams 14: Matt Ryan threw a bad pass last week which caused the Falcons to lose. He will bounce back in a big way against a self-destructing Rams team. Todd Gurley has struggled all year and will continue to struggle.
New Orleans Saints 17, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23: Jameis Winston is playing the best football of his life right now. The Buccaneers defense is starting to play with swagger, and help its offense out with scoring defensive touchdowns. Drew Brees struggled last week. He will have another rough outing.
Dallas Cowboys 21, New York Giants 24: Dallas is on a 11-game winning streak, and the Giants are waiting for them. Eli Manning has struggled the past couple of weeks, and he needs to spread the ball to all of his receivers. If they do that, they will be just fine. As for the Cowboys, Ezekiel Elliott is facing a tough Giants run defense, and they will dare Dak Prescott to throw the ball.
Baltimore Ravens 24, New England Patriots 20: Joe Flacco has a history of outplaying Tom Brady. The Ravens defense will force Tom Brady to make some bad decisions. With Rob Gronkowski being sidelined for the rest of the season, it will hurt the Patriots in the passing game. Justin Tucker will make clutch kicks when needed.
