NBA Lottery Tonight

The NBA Lottery is tonight. While it will have no impact on this year's NBA Championship, it will surely shape the NBA landscape for next decade to come. Several teams have thrown in the towel since early December just with the hope of landing a favorable lottery ball tonight. Here are three scenarios that I hope play out on this suspenseful evening in the NBA community.
1) I hope the Lakers fall outside of the top-three. They deserve it. They have tanked and tanked some more. They do not deserve a top-tier pick. If they fall out of the top-three, their pick then belongs to the 76ers. The 76ers would then have 2 of the top 5-7 picks depending on how their pick lands. Also, the Lakers landing outside of the top three would make it nearly impossible - barring some unlikely trade - that Lonzo Ball winds up in Los Angeles. I believe in karma. Lavar Ball has acted like an ass, and I think it would be hilarious to see Lonzo in a place like Orlando or Sacramento where he would be doomed in terms of the talent around him.
2) I hope the Timberwolves land a top-three pick. In my opinion, the Timberwolves are right on the brink. With Andrew Wiggins and Karl Anthony Towns, their ceiling is extremely high. If they can add Markelle Fultz or Jayson Tatum to solidify their offense, the rest of the league would be on alert. A young superstar triumvirate all under the age 25; the T-wolves would resemble the talent of OKC circa 2012.
3) I hope teams that didn't tank get favorable selections. In my opinion, tanking is one of the most disgraceful things in all of sports. To think that a team that throws most of their games will somehow benefit bewilders me. That is why I hope teams like the Heat and the Mavericks, who have done things the right way for so long land towards the top of the Draft. It would only be right.
