LeBron is head and shoulders the best player in not only the Eastern Conference, but in the entire Association. That is not even up for debate at this point. What is up for debate, and an interesting one at that, is who is the heir to LeBron's throne in the Eastern Conference?

In my eyes, there are three players in the discussion: Paul George, John Wall, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. All three are All-Stars and franchise cornerstones. John Wall is faster than the speed of light with the ball in his hands. It is insane how quickly that man goes from baseline to baseline. Paul George has essentially gone mano a mano with LeBron James in the postseason. Yes, LeBron's teams have held the upper-hand in their meetings, but it is not because George failed to do his part.

With that being said, going forward, I am team Giannis. The Greek Freak's upside is immaculate. He essentially has the skillset of LeBron James in Kevin Durant's body. That is frightening! He just needs to tidy up his jump shot, as he connected on only 27% of his three point attempts in the regular season. If he straightens that out, he will literally be unguardable. At this point in his career teams sag off of him, begging him to shoot and he still manages to drive by them. If he can hone his perimeter game, his offensive efficiency will sky-rocket and his team will flourish. Giannis Antetokounmpo is the second-best player in the Eastern Conference. Within the next couple of years he will be the best.
