Fast Eddie Should Start Packing

The term "Fast Eddie" has nothing to do with Eddie Royals' blazing speed, "Fast Eddie" has more to do with his quick routes to the injury report. In the wake of the impending departure of incumbent 4th year starter Alshon Jeffery, next in line should be the underwhelming Eddie Royal who’s played only 56% of his games while in Chicago. Royal is expected to make $5 million this year however with no more guaranteed money to shelve out to Royal, I expect the Bears to release the 10 yr veteran.

Royal only caught 3 TD passes in his two year stint with the Bears and has been injury prone missing 14 games in two seasons. Expect the Bears receiving corps to be vastly different in 2017 which should feature Cam Meredith who’s coming off a career year with 888 receiving yards and 2015 first round pick Kevin White who's spent the majority of the past two seasons injured. I agree with CBS's Pete Prisco. The Bears should address the wide receiver position in this years upcoming draft expected to be deep with talent.
