The NFL season up to this point
Man! What a start to the 2017 Season! Before we get going to far, can we please take a quick moment of silence for the following teams ? The Giants, Packers, Browns and 49ers and my work league fantasy football team. Their seasons have all but ended due to either injury or just being plain bad.
Many Packers fans will look at this and take it as a slight, they are 4-2 and sitting tied for 1st in their own division but without Aaron Rodgers playing QB the Packers are not one of the 6 best teams in the NFC... They are the 3rd best team in their division and even that's a stretch. The last time Rodgers broke his collarbone in 2013, the Packers finished 2-5-1. That Packers team is better than this Packers team as they had a better defense. Sorry Packers fans, the time is now to panic.
There have also been plenty of surprises so far, Big Ben has looked like a shell of himself, The Patriots who before the season had talks of an undefeated season on the horizon has been awful on defense with a huge match up against the Falcons looming this Sunday. The Jets who most people thought would be the worst team in the league myself included are 3-3 and looking pretty good for how young they are. The Eagles are 5-1, the Panthers are 4-2 after going 6-10 last year and the Broncos Defense looks back to it's old self.
There's only one thing for certain right now about the NFL, and that's nothing is for certain. One week you can be blowing out a team that people thought would challenge for a playoff spot 44-7, and the next losing to what everyone thought was the worst team in the NFL in OT , That's right Jags fans I am talking to you!
The crazy thing is we are only at week 6, with 10 plus weeks left in the season buckle up NFL fans. Things are about to get Crazy
