Darren Sproles Will Be an Eagle through the 2017 Season!
Ian Rapoport from NFL.com reported earlier today that the Philadelphia have signed Running Back, Darren Sproles to a one-year contract extension through 2017. Rap reported that Sproles will be earning $4.5 million on the added year; he is currently set to be making $3.5 million this upcoming season.
This is huge new for the Birds because Sproles is a big part of the offense. He is arguably the best player the Birds have on the offensive side of the ball that's not a lineman. He is very important to the team as he can also play special teams by receiving punt returns.
