Who Wins Super Bowl 51

HOUSTON, TEXAS - The stage is set for the Lombardi Trophy. It will feature the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots on Sunday, February 5, 2017. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. and will air nationally on FOX.

Here are three reasons why the Patriots will capture their fifth Super Bowl title overall.

Quarterback Tom Brady is 4-0 against the Falcons. He has totaled 1,193 yards along with nine touchdowns and one interception on 87-of-131 passing during those matchups.

Defense Wins Championships

The Patriots have the No. 1 scoring defense in the NFL. This will be the eighth Super Bowl where the No. 1 offense and No. 1 defense squared off for the Lombardi Trophy and sixth time since the merger. The defense is 4-1 in Super Bowls.

Houston, We Don't Have A Problem

The Patriots have been down this road before. Flashback to 2003. They entered the matchup with a 16-2 record. Their first loss was a shut out against Buffalo. They last trailed in Week 12. They were first in points allowed. The Super Bowl was in Houston. It's been two years since they won a Super Bowl. The Patriots are 4-1 in Houston. Matt Ryan has had a phenomenal season that is worthy of a MVP award; however I think the Patriots' defense is going to step up and make big plays when they need them. They just have too mmuch experience for the Falcons to overcome.
