Will the Blue Raiders' Hot Streak Continue?
MURFREESBORO, TENN. - Texas-San Antonio and Middle Tennessee will meet for the second time on Saturday, November 5, 2016. Kickoff at Johnny "Red" Floyd Stadium is set for 1:30 p.m. and will air nationally on ESPN3. It will be a special day as we will saluting the Veterans and Armed Forces.
The Blue Raiders will look to keep the ball rolling after hanging on to defeat Florida International in the final two minutes of regulation 42 to 35 last Saturday at FIU Stadium.
Here are three reasons why the Blue Raiders will convert a turkey for the second time this year.
Dualing
MTSU is 5-0 against dual-threat quarterbacks this year. Three of those wins have come against Conference USA opponents. the Blue Raiders have got to find a way to contain Junior Quarterback Dalton Strum if they want to stay in the C-USA East Division title race.
November Dominance
Since joining C-USA, the Blue Raiders are 9-3 in November games under Head Coach Rick Stockstill. All nine of those wins have come against C-USA opponents. If our trio can move the ball effectively against an athletic defense led by Freshman Linebacker Josiah Tauaefa, then the Blue Raiders should have no problem in this matchup.
Veteran Dominance
Since joining C-USA, MT is 3-0 all-time in Salute to Veterans and Armed Forces match-ups. All three of those wins have come against C-USA opponents (Florida International, Marshall and Florida Atlantic).
