Blue Jackets outplay Maple Leafs at Nationwide.

Hello Everybody. The Columbus Blue Jackets are one of the hottest teams in the NHL Metropolitan Division. And they have proven Why. They Beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-2 on Wednesday night at Nationwide Arena in Columbus.

Josh Anderson and Boone Jenner got the scoring started in the 12 period of play. Oliver BJORKSTAND scored in the 2nd. Nick FOLIGNO scored a Power Play goal in the 2nd as well. And Matt Calvert ended the scoring for the Blue Jackets in the 3rd. Backup Goalie JOONAS KORPISALO got the win in goal as he stopped 31 shots in and only allowed 2 goals and both Of Toronto's Goals were scored by NAZEM KORDI. And as for Toronto's goalie it was a little bit of an off night. C. MCELHINNEY had 30 saves but gave up 4 goals in the process. So The Blue Jackets win again and it was a great night to be in Columbus.

Well The Backup goalie for Columbus, JOONAS KORPISALO was brought in from AHL Cleveland. And what a performance he gave in goal last night. Coach John TORTORELLA said after the game " He played fantastic all night and I think I am going to keep him around for a while and see how this plays out. But he came in at the right time and I can use him here for now."

The Toronto Maple Leafs losing to the Blue Jackets hurt them in the chase for the Eastern Playoffs. Here's My take on the Maple Leafs. The Maple Leafs are a good Hockey teams but to many Bad Loses have hurt them. This Loss on Wednesday Night didn't help their Cause any at all. They have 63 points but they have a 26-16 record at the Moment and they are in 4th place behind the Boston Bruins for that final Playoff spot in the east. They Need to get some wins and hope the Bruins have a collapse somewhere before the end of the season. Because if the Maple Leafs continue to play like this it's going to be a long Road Back for Toronto and they are running out of time and Fast. The Maple Leafs faceoff against the Senators on Saturday.

Well Folks it don't get anymore important than this here's my take on the Blue Jackets. They got the win Against the Maple Leafs. But they have the Pittsburgh Penguins coming to Nationwide Arena on Friday Night. And let me tell you this has Playoff Atmosphere written all over it. You Can cut the Electricity with a Knife. These 2 teams Can Not Stand Each other. And in my opinion this is the Cleveland Browns vs Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Hockey League. These 2 teams are in a battle for the playoffs. If the Blue Jackets win we will move into a 2nd place tie with the Penguins and we can make it a 3 team Race for the Metropolitan Division Again if the New York Rangers manage to lose a couple of game The Blue Jackets or Penguins can possibly take over 1st place in the Metropolitan Division. But 1st we have to beat Pittsburgh. And I will say it again this game is going to be like a playoff type atmosphere because as everybody knows. The Penguins have Sidney " Crybaby" Crosby and he can do a lot of damage. But 1 last thing I have something very special Sid The Kid.
