Cubs Even Series.
Hi everybody. The Chicago Cubs won game 2 of the World Series over the Cleveland Indians 5-1 last night. The Series is now tied at 1 game Apiece. Jake AREEITA was his vintage self in game 2. He pitched 5 2/3 Innings of flawless baseball Striking out 6 batters. And AROLDIS Chapman got the Save. Kyle SCWARBER came off the DL in time to be on the World Series. And man oh man was he something last night. SCHWARBER went 2-for-4 last night with 2 singles and 2 RBI's last night.
ARREITA took a no-hitter into the 6th before the Indians got 2 hits and their only run of game 2. This is the Cubs 1st World Series win since game 5 in 1945. It' Been that long. As for the Indians, Trevor Bauer was not himself. His Finger issue might not have been resolved. He only went 3 2/3 innings on Wednesday night, giving up 6 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks and he did Strikeout 2 batters. But The Indians looked bad in game 2. They had 2 errors and couldn't do anything against the Cubs last night. The Early start might have hurt the Indians. Oh I forgot the game started at 7:00 last night because there was rain in the area. But they got the game the Cubs have evened the series at 1 game apiece. And what about Kyle SCHWARBER after missing the entire season he comes out of nowhere and does some damage in the World Series I don't know if we will see him again or not. Jason Heyward has be benched for the 1st 2 games of the series and I don't know if we will see him in game 3 or not.
The Cubs and Indians split the first 2 contests in Cleveland. Here's my take, The Cubs came to play in game and they did what they had to do. And that was win game 2 because if they would have lost game 2 they would have dug themselves into a canyon that they would have not gotten themselves out of. The Cubs passed the 1st test. Now comes the important test can they win at home at Wrigley. This is what needs to happen on both ends. The Cubs or Indians need to play there best the rest of the way. Because the 1st 2 games were a felling out process. Now it's time to get serious folks. This is what I am talking about. Both teams, either the Indians or Cubs need to take the next 2-of-3 contest at Wrigley to have any chance at winning the World Series bottom. Whoever does that will be the World Champions.
Game 3 will not be played Until Friday Night. But here are the starters for game 3 at Wrigley Field. 8:00 on Fox.
Cubs Indians
Kyle Hendricks [ 1-1 1.65 ERA] Josh Tomlin { 1-0 2.53 ERA}
