Alabama's Offense vs Clemson's Defense: There's now doubt that Alabama Has a good Offense But they struggled against Washington in the Peach Bowl. They won 24-7 but Lane KIFFIN was let go as offensive Coordinator after the game. So there's a big Question Mark going into Monday. Jalen Hurts has been pretty Solid at Quarterback throwing for 2649 yards and 22 touchdowns this season. Running Back Damien Harris has been good at Running Back rushing for 1016 yards this season. ARDARIUS Stewart has been good at Wide Receiver with 852 yards and 8 touchdowns. But they only rank 23rd in offensive Efficiency. The Clemson Defense has been very solid they proved that to Ohio State by Pitching a shutout. So with all of this in mind The Edge goes to Clemson Because there are to many Question Marks about the Alabama Offense because of Lane KIFFIN's Departure.
Clemson Offense vs Alabama's Defense: Clemson's Offense has been nothing short of fantastic this season. Deshaun Watson has throw for 4173 yards and 38 touchdowns this season. Wayne GALLMAN has rushed for 1087 yards and 16 touchdowns himself. And Mike Williams has 1267 yards Receiving this season along with 10 touchdowns and in offensive efficiency they rank 10th. But the Alabama Defense ranks Number 1 in Defensive Efficiency because the have the best Defense and Secondary in the Country. So with all of this in mind the edge goes to Alabama because I think they can stop Deshaun Watson in his tracks I could be wrong. But I know how Bama's Defense has played this season.
Special Teams: Clemson's Placekicker Greg HUEGEL has been rock solid on P.A.T. attempts going 66-of-68 this season And he's 14-of-19 on Field Goal Attempts with his longest this season being 47 yards. Alabama's Adam Griffith has been Solid himself this season on P.A.T. attempts himself going 62-of-63 this season. But this is the part that concerns me, he's only 20-of-27 on Field Goal attempts this season, His longest has been a 48 yards. But the 20-of-27 part worries all Alabama Fans. So with that in mind the edge goes to Clemson because I am concerned about Adam Griffith and his numbers this season. And if it comes down to a field goal at the end I would feel more confident about Greg HUEGEL kicking the game winner.
Intangibles: The Alabama Defense has been prefect they can cause more turnovers than any team that I have seen in College Football. Clemson's defense has been Excellent themselves. But this game will comedown to who wins the Turnover Battle. And if it comes down to a defensive, smash mouth, in your face defensive battle you have to give the edge to Alabama. So the edge in my opinion goes to Alabama because they have the best Defense in the Country and they can cause more turnovers than a hamburger being flipped over and over again.
