NXT Results for 11-23-2016: Swann Gets a Dose of SAnitY, 6-Woman Tag Team Match
This episode of NXT was mostly fallout from "Takeover: Toronto." It consisted of many vignettes and post-match interviews. However, the episode did give us two matches.
Match 1 - Rich Swann vs. Kona Reeves: This affair had gone on for close to the length of an average match, when the arena suddenly went dark. Something then appeared on the titantron. It was the word Sanity. The four individuals hit the ring, and by then, Swann and Reeves were standing side-by-side. Sanity then attacked the two men, sending Swann out of the ring first. Outnumbered, Reeves was soon planted by Sawyer Fulton and Alexander Wolfe with their suplex-powerslam combination. Swann returned to the ring to get a measure of revenge, but ended up taking Eric Young's wheelbarrow-suplex-into-a-neckbreaker move.
Having become friends through the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, No Way Jose went to the ring to check on Swann. Angry with what happened to his friend, Jose grabbed a microphone and told a still-exiting Sanity that he wanted a piece of them. The entire crew turned around, and Jose specified that he wanted the puppet master, not the puppets. Young then entered the ring, and a fight broke out between he and Jose. I say fight, because no referee ever entered the ring, and no bell was ever sounded. Though Young seemed to be holding his own, the rest of Sanity eventually entered the ring to beat down Jose. Young finished off the Latin wrestler with his wheelbarrow-neckbreaker move.
In between vignettes and post-match interviews, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce were shown in the locker room coming upon Daria Berenato. They asked her if she wanted to join them in a six-woman tag team match, and Berenato accepted their offer.
Main Event - Liv Morgan, Aliyah, & Ember Moon vs. Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, & Daria Berenato: The final moments of the match were comical, or treacherous, depending on your point of view. Royce was in the ring having trouble with Moon, and that sent Kay scrambling for Berenato, whom was recovering near the barricade due to a quick brawl. Kay lifted the former MMA fighter to her feet, stammered about really needing her, forced her to tag Royce, and shoved her in the ring. The two Aussies then started to walk to the back. Berenato saw them walking away, and a look of confusion came upon her face. As she kept her gaze on Kay and Royce, Moon jumped from the top rope and delivered her twisting stunner. Moon covered Berenato and scored the pinfall victory for her team.
