Results for TLC 2016 (12-4): Who Lost Their Title, Who Kept Their Title? Carmella Spills Some Beans
Match 1 - Tag Team Championships, Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton w/ Luke Harper vs. Heath Slater & Rhyno: The closing moments of the match went as follows: Orton had blind-tagged into the match when he shoved Wyatt out of the way of a turnbuckle shoulder-butt attempt by Rhyno. "The Viper" took the shot and ended up falling to the outside mats. Rhyno followed Orton outside and sized him up for a Gore. Rhyno then charged at him, and that is when Harper shoved "The Viper" out of the way and took it instead. Knowing the ten-count was going, the "Man-Beast" got back in the ring, where he was met by a creepy-crawling Wyatt. As Rhyno stood in front of Wyatt in astonishment, "The Viper" ran back to the ring, and delivered the RKO to him. Orton then made the cover, and scored the pinfall. He and Wyatt were the new Tag Team Champions.
Match 2 - No Disqualifications, Nikki Bella vs. Carmella: Despite the No DQ ruling, the most hardcore thing that happened in this match was Carmella getting the fire extinguisher used on her. From there, the "Princess of Staten Island" was finished off by the Rack Attack 2.0. After the match, Carmella was still defiant in defeat, grabbed a mic, and told Nikki that Natalya attacked her at Survivor Series.
Match 3 - Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match, Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz w/ Maryse: This one ended when both men were standing on side-by-side ladders, and the Miz hit Ziggler in the groin twice, causing him to fall. The Miz then grabbed the belt to retain the IC Belt.
Match 4 - Chair Match, Kalisto vs. Baron Corbin: The chairs were expertly used in this match, but in the end, Kalisto took the End of Days onto a pile of chairs.
Match 5 - Women's Championship Table Match, Alexa Bliss vs. (c) Becky Lynch: For the conclusion of this one, Lynch was on the apron, and Bliss, the outside mats. The defending champ ran at Bliss to kick her in the face, but "Five Feet of Fury" sidestepped it, got underneath her, and powerbombed her through a table that had been set up on the outside earlier in the match.
Main Event - WWE World Championship TLC Match, Dean Ambrose vs. (c) A.J. Styles: A lot of high-spots and weapon-use were sprinkled throughout this match. The more notable ones were Styles going through an announce table thanks to an Ambrose elbow drop from a ladder, and the "Lunatic Fringe" taking a 450 splash from the "Phenomenal One" while lying on a table. Despite all of the hard landings and extreme spots, Styles retained his championship. Ambrose was almost to the top of the ladder, when James Ellsworth went in to the ring, and pushed it down. Ambrose went flying out of the ring and onto two side-by-side tables. The "Phenomenal One" then got up, climbed the ladder, and grabbed the belt to retain his title.
