AFC Women's Asian Cup 2022 finals to be hosted by India

New Delhi, June 5 (IANS) The Asian Football Confederation has conceded All India Football Federation (AIFF) the rights to have the AFC Women's' Asian Cup 2022 finals. The choice was taken at the AFC Women's' Football Committee.

In a letter to AIFF General Secretary Kushal Das, AFC General Secretary Dato Windsor John expressed: "The Committee granted the facilitating privileges of the AFC Women's' Asian Cup 2022 finals to the All India Football Federation."

Praful Patel, President of AIFF in his message stated: "I have to thank the Asian Football Confederation for discovering us reasonable to have the AFC Women's' Asian Cup in 2022."

"The competition will excite the hopeful ladies players and get an all encompassing social unrest to the extent ladies'' football in the nation is concerned."

India are scheduled to have the FIFA U-17 Women's' World Cup from February 17-March 7 one year from now. The AIFF had before sorted out the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2017. Moreover, India had additionally facilitated the AFC U-16 Championship in 2016.
