Panic Button AOW - The technician takes down the brawler
Happened across a terrific wrestling match between Mt. Vernon/Plankinton's Tanner Risseuw and Wolsey/Wessington's Caleb Brandt from the Kimball/White Lake tournament on Saturday, Dec. 3.
You can check out the match, on liveticket.tv through the MVP website....finals matches of the tournament are captured and the Risseuw/Brandt match can be found just past the 1:39 mark.
Billed as the technician (Rissuew) vs. the BRAWLER (Brandt) this one had a little bit of everything with two quality kids going at it.
After some quality mat time by two of the better kids in the 195 lb. weight class, the pair found themselves paired up for a sudden-death period. Risseuw chose done, escaped and prevailed, in THEE best match of the week in South Dakota prep wrestling.
For his efforts, Risseuw is this week's Panic Button, wrestler of the week!
Other nominees: Luke Heninger over Jackson Eklund...
Heninger prevailed 3-2 in a tight match that showed two of the state's best 126 pounders going head to head in an early season tournament.
The Heninger/Eklund match can be found just past the 8-hour mark....
Can Nash Hutmacher be this good, this early?
Alright, so the Chamberlain Cubs swept off to the O'Neil Nebraska tournament and wouldn't ya know it that five Chamberlain Cubs came home with championships...Look out fo da Cubs?
This week, Chamberlain freshman, Nash Hutmacher ran into the defending Class A state champion, Eddie Miller of Brookings. Hutmacher, 6-1...OOOOHHHHH!
Love this photo, snapped by his mother, Laura. Hutmacher is athletic, fast, works at his craft and is going to be right there with any HWT he runs into.
