Miami Dolphins: Playoff Scenarios
This is it, the final two weeks of the regular season. Miami controls its own destiny, if they can win out they will make the 2016 playoffs for the first time since 2008 with an 11-5 record. The reason being the best record Denver can have would be 10-6 which would be one game shy of making the playoffs.
The way Miami can clinch a playoff spot are if they can win this week in Buffalo and Denver ties or loses to Kansas City the Dolphins clinch a playoff spot. They can also clinch if they tie Baltimore loses Denver loses and Houston ties or loses. The last way they clinch is if they tie Baltimore loses Denver loses and Tennessee ties or loses.

Now the most likely of these is obviously if Denver can lose and Miami winning they're in. They can of course win out and they would be in automatically which is possible given Buffalo isn't that good and the Patriots will most likely rest their starters for the playoffs.
As of right now the Dolphins have a 55% chance of making the playoffs according to fivethirtyeight.com. If they can get the win this week their chances go to 92%. That's very good for the Dolphins who would then cheer for the Kansas City Chiefs to take out Denver and send Miami into the post season.
