Miami Heat vs Orlando Magic Preview
The Miami Heat open their season tonight against the Orlando Magic. It will be the first game without Dwayne Wade since they drafted him and they will look to win their sixth opener in a row. They have the record in the league for five season openers won in a row.
The new big three Justice Winslow, Josh Richardson, and Hassan Whiteside will be in full action tonight. Look to see who will take the new leadership role and who will be the new face of the franchise.
Also new comers such as Dion Waiters will be playing and hopefully can contribute a lot to the team. This is probably one of if not the youngest squad the Heat has had overall. The main reason personally I think being is because Pat Riley is looking towards the future of the franchise and not the gets titles fast through seasoned veterans approach.
Now obviously Pat Riley is getting older and maybe going young to build the future isn't such a bad idea. After all look how young the Warriors were when they won their first title in a long time and tell me it hasn't worked out for them.
This will be a tough year for Heat and we should learn a lot from this team. Making the playoffs will be hard with the East getting better and losing some key players hasn't helped as well. Tonight starts the season and what should be an interesting season for the Heat. Let's not have too lofty expectations but take it game by game as this is a young team that has to have time to develop.
