The Craziest Man in College Football

Obviously throughout college football history there are hundreds of crazy plays, quotes, and even people but there is one man who stand head and shoulders above everyone else. It's not Jim Harbaugh, who runs fake punts up 34 points. It is UConn coach Bob Diaco, who has made a name for himself through trophies and clothing rather than his coaching ability.

The ConFLiCT

Bob Diaco took over the UConn football program in 2014, leading the Huskies to a 2-10 record. The highlight of that season was the creation of the greatest and most entertaining rivalry in college athletics. In the offseason after his first season Diaco announced the Civil ConFLiCT rivalry with UCF, UConn's only conference and FBS victory of 2014.

Flash forward to Week 8, 2016 and the Knights defeat UConn for the first time during the trophy's existence. However, they don't see it that way, the Knights walkout the field after a 24-16 victory and leave the trophy on the UConn bench, throwing the internet into a frenzy.

Not only did he create the Civil ConFLiCT in his first offseason as the coach of the Huskies but he made one of the BOLDEST predictions ever seen coming off a 2-10 season

Most coaches that are coming off 2-10 seasons worry about keeping their jobs, getting to four wins or even making a bowl game, not Bob Diaco, the man predicted a national championship.

This year, at a preseason interview Diaco discussed making a "fish cake"

And at the same press conference he described his three phase plan for the 2016 season

Somebody better tell em... that UConn is currently 3-5 and in danger of not returning to a bowl game.
