Jason Pierre-Paul Out for Lengthy Period

Losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday seemed to be no concern for the New York Giants. Losing Jason Pierre-Paul for the next 6 weeks is a major concern. He had surgery on Wednesday Morning to repair a sports hernia and his injured groin.

Pierre-Paul was one of the anchors on this Giants defensive line. With him being sidelined, other plays like Kerry Wynn, Romeo Okwara, and/or Owa Odighizuwa. If they don't step up, the Giants could falter down the stretch and miss the playoffs. That would mean the Giants would most likely let go of general manager, Jerry Reese.

Jason Pierre-Paul had 53 tackles, 7 sacks, and 1 defensive touchdown on the year. The earliest he can return is if the Giants make the NFC Championship Game.
