Mets Score Six Runs in 7th to top Braves

The New York Mets bats were silent for six innings. In the seventh inning, they decided to wake up from there afternoon nap. New York scored all six runs in that inning and defeated the Atlanta Braves 6 to 0.

Asdrubal Cabrera had an RBI single, Curtis Granderson had a sacrifice fly, Jay Bruce drew a bases loaded walk, and Lucas Duda hit a bases clearing double.

Noah Syndergaard only pitched six innings and gave up five hits and struck out seven batters. He left after the sixth because of a blister on his pitching finger.

Hansel Robles was the winning pitcher for the Mets. He pitched one inning and struck out one batter.

Ian Krol was the losing pitcher for the Braves. He pitched 0.1 innings and gave up two hits and three runs, along with walking one batter. The Braves used four different pitchers in the seventh inning.

Starter Julio Teheran pitched six innings and gave up four hits, walked three batters and struck out six.

The New York Mets started the season off right and the Atlanta Braves didn't.
