Cleveland Browns Could Take Leonard Fournette With No. 1 Overall Pick

For the longest time it felt like Myles Garrett to the Cleveland Browns was for sure going to go down with the first pick in the 2017 NFL draft. The Browns are in fact, still exploring their options and LSU running back Leonard Fournette could be selected with that first pick. Regardless, there is a good chance he will be taken within the first five picks.
Fournette weighed in at 240 pounds at the NFL combine and made some people nervous after his high jump numbers were made public. Now after several team visits and dropping 12 pounds, Fournette has seen his stock rise again. Several people view him as the best running back in this draft.
"I think some of them wanted me to just see if I could get down to that size," said Fournette at the pro day. "Some people had concerns about me at 240. ... So I just wanted to show them I could stay on course and be disciplined and do what I have to do."
The last running back to be selected with the No. 1 overall pick was Ki-Jana Carter in 1995. He was arguably one of the worst first picks in NFL history. He was constantly injured and only racked up 1,144 yards in his career. There are a handful of running backs currently playing that could get that many yards in one season.
