Indians lead 1-0 in the World Series.
Hi everybody. The Cleveland Indians shutout the Chicago Cubs 6-0 to take a 1-0 lead in the 2016 World Series. This comes as a result of a 6-0 shutout in game 1.
Cory KLUBER pitched a fantastic game last night going 6 innings, allowing only 4 hits and he had 9 strikeouts. Cody Allen got the Save with only allowing 1 hit and he struck out 3. Roberto Perez had 2 home runs in game one. As for the Cubs they have a lot of work to do before game 2. Jon Lester was lighten up last night in game one, 6 hits,3 earned runs and 1 home run but he did strikeout 7 batters but the Cubs have dug themselves into a hole they might not be able to get out of. Since 1997 there's only been 2 teams ever to lose game one of the World Series and come back to win it all. The 2002 Angels and the 2009 New York Yankees. So the Cubs are in a hole early.The Indians got to Jon Lester last night. Here's my take the Indians did what they had to do to win last night. Starting pitching and the Bullpen got the Job done last night. Here's my take, The Indians got to a Cy Young award winning pitcher. The Indians Bullpen was great last night. Terry FRANCONA is a genius and I love how he manages a game of this importance. I know it's only game 1 but the Cubs need to take game 2 if they want to get back into the series. Because in my opinion if the Cubs lose game 2 they are going to have a long road to hold. And the series doesn't go to Wrigley until Friday night in game 3. So therefor I will say it again the Cubs are in a must win Situation tonight. Because if they lose and go to Chicago down 0-2 they are going to be in a world of hurt in this World Series.
Here are the game 2 starters for tonight. For the Cubs it's going to be Jake ARRIETA, he is 0-1 this postseason with a 4.91 ERA. The Indians have Trevor Bauer going tonight. Bauer has a 5.06 ERA. Bauer's finger will not be an issue this time around he has healed up and is ready to go tonight. Game 2 will be at 7:00 on Fox and I will be back tomorrow morning. Bye everybody.
