Washington ends the Blue Jackets win streak.

Hello everybody. The Washington Capitals ended the winning streak of the Columbus Blue Jackets with a 5-0 shutout. The Blue Jackets 16 game winning streak ended with a BIG THUMP!!!!. Blue Jackets Goalie SERGEI BOBROVSKY gave up 5 goals on 23 shots, HOW BAD WAS THAT!!!!. The Capitals started off the scoring right out of the gate. Daniel WINNIK and John Carlson a each had a goal in the 1st. Andre BURAKSOVSKY and Nate Schmidt each had a goal in the 2nd. And the scoring ended with Justin Williams scoring in the 3rd. The Capitals had a great night at the expense of the Blue Jackets.

Now after the Jackets got Blown Away. And everybody thought that Blue Jackets coach TORTORELLA would be fuming irate. But that was not the case at all. He said this to his team afterwards. " I am so proud of you guys. Okay the winning streak ended but you guys have come a long way from where you guys were last year at this time. You have nothing to hang your heads about. This is something I think we needed. We got our reality check. Now we can start a new winning streak. But we do need to keep in mind that we have a battle for the ultracompetitive Metropolitan Division on our hands."

The Blue Jackets can start a new winning streak and they have something else to think about to. Here's my take, The Blue Jackets winning streak ended at 16 games, They can start a new winning streak. But the loss to the Capitals on Thursday Night did hurt the Blue Jackets in another way. The Capitals did close within 5 points of the Blue Jackets in the Ultracompetitive Metropolitan Division. The Blue Jackets Play the Rangers on Saturday and the Blue Jackets are in a kind of must win situation because the Rangers are only 3 points back of the Blue Jackets for the Division lead. So Ladies and Gentlemen we have a 3 team race for the Metropolitan Division. The Blue Jackets have the Rangers on Saturday. As for the Capitals they have the Ottawa Senators on next on their schedule and the Capitals are looking to extend their 5 game winning streak on Saturday. So I will say it again in closing. We have a very tight 3 team race for the Metropolitan Division. And all 3 teams are playing on Saturday.
