Lucha Underground Results for 11-23-2016: New Group Debuts, Trios Title On the Line, Sexy Star Makes 1st Title Defense
Match 1 - Trios Tag Team Championship, The Rabbit Tribe (Paul London, Mala Suerte, & Saltador) vs. (c) Fenix, Drago, & Aerostar: Amazingly, this was The Rabbit Tribe's Lucha Underground debut. And yes, that is the Paul London of WWE fame. Of course, the champs weren't going to let newcomers take their belts, and Fenix ended things with a reverse backslide on Saltador.
Match 2 - Dante Fox vs. Killshot: This match had quite the hard hitting ending. Fox had set up Killshot near a corner turnbuckle. He then ran towards him, took hold of him, and gave him the Spanish Fly. From there, Fox picked up Killshot and planted him with the Foxcatcher (Fisherman Buster). The three-count followed after that.
Main Event - Lucha Underground Championship, (c) Sexy Star vs. Johnny Mundo: In the closing moments of the match, things spilled to the outside. Mundo spotted a masked fan with a crutch and he attempted to take it away from her. He pulled and pulled, but the fan wouldn't let go. Unfortunately, the masked fan ended up at ringside, where Mundo finally took away the crutch. He tried to use it on Star, but she ducked the strike and took possession of the crutch. She climbed in to the ring with it, but the referee made her get rid of it. Star then returned to the outside to check on the fan. The fan got to her feet, and she suddenly struck Star with brass knuckles. Mundo hurried to the outside at that point, lifted Star up, tossed her in to the ring, and gave her the End of the World. The referee then made the three-count. Sexy Star's reign had come to an end after one defense. The masked woman climbed in to the ring after the bell, and took off her mask. It was none other than Taya, member of the Worldwide Underground.
