Dustin Ackley is headed to the big apple and that may be a great place to rejuvenate his career. "The Mariners are moving on from one of their former top prospects. Brian Cashman had to make a trade and the Yankees made the right one. The Yankees needed another bat. The offensive is going to improve with Ackley's presence in the lineup. The Blue Jays are even better and the Yankees just matched their move. The Yankees need to see if they can acquire a pitcher. I hope they call the Padres, and see what the asking price for James Shield is.
The Yankees will be a playoff team now and they will be a tough team to play when the postseason arrives. The future seems bright for the Yankees and it will be interesting to watch free agency for Bronx Bombers.
The Mariner's received some decent prospects and they are in the competitive A.L west. I am not sure that they will catch up with Angels or Astros. However, anything can happen in the MLB. The Mariner's may have another move up their sleeve, and that will be interesting to watch. We will have to wait and see!
