How about White River's Iron-Five...

Former White River star Justin Folkers pumped in 16 points and 7 rebounds in a recent win over Trinity Bible College.

So, the other day I put together a little college recap thingie that featured Xavier Norris, Adrian Farmer, Grant Kohlus, Dawnee Keckler and Eireann Grimshaw, who are all playing college basketball. At the end of the piece I literally asked anyone if they knew of anyone else playing college basketball. It seriously skipped my mind to consider the White River kids....someone even reminded me of them about two weeks ago - SMH...

So, how about the notion that five White River kids are playing basketball at the collegiate level? That's freaking awesome!

Couple of guys up at Black Hills State - Wyatt Krogman and Joe Cameron

Three guys at Dakota State - Justin Folkers, Justin Prue and Link Tucker.

Yesterday, Krogman and Cameron's Black Hills squad beat Presentation College 72-52. Krogman didn't play in that game or the game prior (injured?) but he did have 14 points, 5 assists and two steals in a recent game against Northern State (7-10 from the free-throw line, kid drawing fouls like a champion). Joe Cameron played three minutes against Presentation College and he's a regular rotational player for Black Hills State.

Krogman and Cameron are both redshirt-juniors.

Yesterday, Dakota State lost to a 6-2 Morningside squad, 75-70. Of the three White River players, Justin Folkers finished with five points and 2 rebounds. A couple of games ago the 6-foot-9 sophomore scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a win over Trinity Bible College.

In a recent game against Briar Cliff, Justin Prue hit a pair of baskets and dished out an assist. Tucker is a rotational player, DNP against Morningside but played in the last two games against Briar Cliff and Trinity Bible College.

That's pretty awesome...Little class B school in the middle of nowhere sending skads of kids to college...Good stuff!!
