Miami Dolphins: Running up the Bills
The Miami Dolphins impressed today as they get their third win of the season at hands of the Buffalo Bills. It was a hard game to watch since it was so close and Miami had to come back in this great win.
Jay Ajayi for the second straight game had over 200 yards rushing which helped carry the Dolphins to a 3-4 record. Jarvis Landry also had a big game and helped the team out in critical moments one on a third down that was pivotal to convert in the game.
The game started out with two field goals and later in the first half a touchdown by Tyrod Taylor to make the score 10-3. Miami then drove the length of the field and scored a field goal to make the score 10-6 at halftime. In the third quarter Tyrod Taylor hit Marquis Goodwin on a deep touchdown pass to make the score 17-6. Miami then drove the length of the field with the help of Jay Ajayi and scored a touchdown and a two point conversion making it 17-14.
Later in the game Miami was able to get another drive together and scored a touchdown with Damien Williams to go up 21-17. Earlier in the game Kenny Stills dropped a pass deep, but not when Ryan Tannehill threw him the ball late in the fourth quarter for deep touchdown to make the score 28-17. After some very bad penalties by the Dolphins the Bills got into scoring position and did must that and scored a two point conversion to make the game 28-25.
On the ensuing onside kick Miami recorvered which effectively ended the game and any comeback the Bills had.
Now Miami is 3-4 and is currently third in the AFC East behind the 5-1 New England Patriots and 4-3 Buffalo Bills. In order to make the playoffs Miami will have to keep winning and hope that Buffalo keeps losing. Then and only then will Miami have a chance at a Wild Card spot in this year's playoffs. Fortunately there are many teams in AFC with the record Miami now has, and there is still hope for this team even after a slow start to the season.
Next up Miami plays the 2-5 Jets and must win this game and the next one against the San Diego Chargers in order to over come their 3-4 record.
