SmackDown Live Results for 11-29-2016: Contract Signing, Brutal Styles Clash, No. 1 Contenders Match for Tag Titles
This episode of "SmackDown Live" started off with a contract signing between challenger Alexa Bliss and champion Becky Lynch. Amazingly, no authority figure was in the ring to try and keep the peace. For a minute there, it seemed as if none was necessary, as both ladies only talked trash and nothing else. Then, Lynch asked Bliss if she could answer one last question for her. Rather than ask a question, however, Lynch punched her in the face. The champion was all over the challenger, and Lynch put Bliss on one of the turnbuckles. She then grabbed the table, set it up near the turnbuckle, and climbed up the ropes. Unfortunately, Lynch took too long in trying to do whatever she was attempting, and Bliss shoved her away. That shove caused Lynch to go through the table. The segment ended there.
Match 1 - Dolph Ziggler & Kalisto vs. Baron Corbin & The Miz w/ Maryse: Kalisto had planted Miz with the Salida Del Sol, but Corbin returned to the ring with a chair and gave Kalisto a shot to the back with it. The referee immediately called for the bell, giving the masked wrestler and Ziggler the victory.
Match 2 - Carmella vs. --------: This match never occurred as Nikki Bella ran out and interrupted Carmella's pre-match monologue. In the monologue, the "Princess of Staten Island" said that she was going to rearrange Nikki's face so bad that John Cena wouldn't have to worry about marrying her ever again. That was the final straw that prompted Nikki to come out, as Carmella had said many other things.
The Ambrose Asylum was the next segment, and it had Dean bringing down James Ellsworth. The host asked him who he would like to fight for the WWE World Championship. Before he could give a true answer, world champion A.J. Styles came out and began to disparage Ellsworth. Ambrose shot back with insults of his own, and that angered Styles to the point where he attacked Ambrose and Ellsworth. The "Phenomenal One" sent Ambrose into steel steps, and took him out of commission. Styles then focused on pummeling Ellsworth, and that is when the champ took off the top half of the steps. A.J. then lifted up Ellsworth, set him up for the Styles Clash, jumped off the steps, and planted Ellsworth on the outside mats.
Match 3 - Kane vs. Luke Harper: This match was brought about due to Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton wanting Kane to be taken out for what he did last week. Unfortunately for Harper, the "Big Red Monster" gave him a chokeslam, then scored the pinfall victory.
Main Event - Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton vs. American Alpha, Winner Faces Heath Slater & Rhyno for the Tag Team Championships: The conclusion to this match began when all the lights in the arena turned off. When they came back on, Luke Harper was standing outside of the ring. Jason Jordan immediately focused on him instead of the match, and that is when Bray took advantage of the situation. He grabbed Jordan, and planted him on the canvas with Sister Abigail. The "Eater of Worlds" then covered for the pinfall. He and Orton would be the ones facing Slater and Rhyno at "TLC."
Though that was the last match, the show wasn't quite over. Styles entered the room in which Slater and Rhyno were watching the main event. Words were exchanged, and soon, another person entered the picture, Dean Ambrose. The "Lunatic Fringe" jumped Styles from behind and the attack was kept up until the show went off-air.
