Introductory Press Conference of Chris Givens:

My overall thoughts. on all the deals that went down in the last week are they were all solid deals that I believe made the team better in the long run. I really like that they traded the contracts of Bryon Maxwell and DeMarco Murray to free up some cap room. I believe they got a steal in the Dolphins' deal because they were able to move up into the top ten. The fact that they got the 8th pick now is fantastic, they can get what they need at that pick weather it's an OT, QB or CB.

I don't think they should draft a Running Back like a lot of fans went them to in the top ten because they can draft one in the third or fourth round. They need an offensive tackle more than anything. Yes, I would personal draft a QB before drafting the hot name among a lot Eagles fans in this draft RB, Ezekiel Elliott because we need a Franchise QB. However, I would only draft a QB if OT, Ronnie Stanley (Notre Dame) or CB, Vernon Hargreaves (Florida) or LB, Myles Jack (UCLA) are off the board. And would only draft Jared Goff (Cal) or Paxton Lynch (Memphis) if both or either are still on the board. After that if all those guys I mention, besides Elliot are all off the board then I'd go with best available player left on the board.

Finally, at the end this off season so far as been wild and a breathe of fresh air. Whatever, they decide to do with the 8th pick, I'm sure that he will make an impact right away unless it's a QB then we won't find out about him until after this season. I am almost certain that Howie Roseman isn't done making trades or signing players. Maybe no more trades but you can't rule it out when it comes to Howie. I trust Howie and believe in what he is doing, hopefully he can have a good draft as well. All I know is it's gonna fun watching this team next season. My favorite move that Howie made was the signing of Rodney McLead, he is a hard hitter we haven't had a hard hitting safety since B-Dawk (Brain Dawkins).
